This Academy is for young passionate, talented and determined football players who are willing to work hard for their own goals.

It all starts with the understanding that…

Players have to learn that their career aspirations have something to do with results. Along the way, they have to realize that football talent is simply a prerequisite. It only opens the door to professional football and that you also need talent to overcome difficulties and obstacles. It's hard to get there and we can't make it too easy for them. That is one reason why people say our training are complex and demand everything from you. Demanding and intense because it is the only chance to really get to the next level.

Our Mission & Vision

MLES Academy is an integral part of the Academy’s player development pathway with the mission of identifying, attracting, and developing players for the professional ranks. Recognized as a nation’s succesful Academy program, this program has a proven track record for producing talents for MLS Academies, German Football market or elite universities.

Through innovative programming and a dedicated support team, the Academy produces the most talented, hard-working, and dedicated players locally and regionally. We advocate for the wholistic development of the player, and provide the most challenging training environment in North America. Our main task is that we prepare and support as many players as possible to arrive at professional football clubs but especially to Germany, MLS Academies or Elite universities. On the other hand we also own an education assignment for every player, even for those who don't make it into professional soccer but were part of this academy - We also want that everyone leave this academy as winners. Everyone of these athletes take a lot out of this academy with them that can help them later at the university or in other areas of life. Things like commitment, perservance, effort and teamwork are needed in every field of work & success. This assignment goes far beyond just football. We see Football as “School of Life”.

Our Philosophy

Generally speaking, MLES Academy structure will play and teach aggressive, attractive, high-intensity, high-pressing football. The Academy Groups will be active with and without the ball, employing a high and aggressive pressing system and looking to get runners in behind the opposition defence when they have possession. We want High-tempo combined with a fearless playing style and a commitment to our Training & Game principles.

The four laws of learning are explanation, demonstration, imitation, and repetition. The goal is to create a correct habit that can be produced instinctively under great pressure.

About Agreements & Principles of Play

We have a clear idea of football and how to play and to develop.

DEVELOP AND TRAIN GAME PRINCIPLES: A coach's playing philosophy and principles represents the general description of the football he wants his team to play. Building on this, the approach and gameplay are about principles that the team must take to heart in order to implement the desired way. These principles, which can be formulated for all phases of the game, form a generally valid framework and create an orientation that is independent of the game system. They help players of different ages and abilities to better understand the game and implement basic behavior. They help the coach to convey his understanding of the game clearly and understandably.

Every game situation is subject to a perception and decision-making process that ultimately leads to implementation. Every game situation requires adoption. Principles of Play also help to guide the player through those moments.

Marcel Lowitsch packaged his tactical ideas into several Principles of Play. MLES stick to his set philosophy (pressing high and controlling the game with that pressing) before making adaptations to the opposition. The players adapt and develop new game ideas at fast speed. We do want to support and give space for creativity - within the principles and philosophy. We also want to give structure to young players.

This Academy Program demands a certain amount of physical and mental preperation, tactical understanding and commitment to the principles. Only than we can fulfill our high standards, high intensity style of play & development.

Our Academy principles serve as guidelines for the players on how they can behave on the field.

We make sure that every player fits in our philosophy, development idea and play. This is the only way to make sure, that we can achieve improvement and develop the player in the best interest.
